Tutored a graduate student: Petra Suontausta on her Master’s Degree thesis in School of Social Sciences and Humanities. Her focus was on the process of desistance of juvenile offenders in Finland.

2011

Tutored a graduate student: Dimitrios Sannas on his Master’s Degree thesis in Comparative Social Policy in the department of Social Sciences. His focus was on rehabilitation for ex-offenders, and living conditions inside prisons in Greece.

Guest Lecturer at Laurea University of Applied Sciences “Comparative Perspectives in Crime Control week”. Helsinki Finland. Delivered two hours lecture on “Convict Criminology”.

2010

Principal –Conference organizer, “Global Perspectives on Re-entry” at the University of Tampere, June 9-12, 2010, with Professor Richard S. Jones, Marquette University. Researchers and practitioners from 13 countries participated in this conference.  Work on this conference included advertising, recruited participants, and raising funds to support the conference.  In addition, I developed a workshop for graduate students that ran congruently with the conference.
